Different Ways to get Green card
There are 5 main ways an individual can obtain permanent residency or green card for United States:
Sponsorship by an employer – Your employer / company can sponser you greencard. With in this there are few catogories like EB1, EB2, EB3, EB4, EB5. Most familiar ones are EB1, EB2, EB3. Masters Students / Phd degree holders in USA (F1 Visa)and H1B visa holders generally get greencard in this way.

Up to 10,000 visas may be authorized each fiscal year for eligible entrepreneurs. You must invest $1,000,000, or at least $500,000 in a targeted employment area (high unemployment or rural area). In return, USCIS may grant conditional permanent residence to the individual.
