Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarships

Undergraduate/Postgraduate

Newcastle University offers scholarships to students who have been offered a place to study at the university. They focus on every international candidate and on their application on the bases of their merit and diversity priorities.

Scholarship Eligibility – Candidates who have been offered a place to study at the university for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, are eligible for this scholarship.

Expenses Covered – It covers a partial aid of £3,000 towards college tuition for one year.

Areas of Study – Under this scholarship undergraduate, postgraduate, as well as integrated master’s programs are covered.

Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships

Postgraduate

The United States-India Educational Foundation, or USIEF, offers these scholarships to Indians who want to study master’s courses or do researches in any U.S. institutions.

Scholarship Eligibility – The Students should have 4 years bachelor’s  from a recognized Indian university with at least 55% marks to apply for this scholarship, and should have at least 3 years of work experience in the area they wish to study in. The student will be judge on certain areas to pursue study under this scholarship like leadership and community service, communication skills, and motivation and thus should be highlighted in the application.

Expenses Covered – The scholarship covers tuition fee, airfare (economy), textbooks, and a living stipend.

Areas of Study – The students who wish to study in the areas of Arts and Culture, Environmental Science, International Legal Studies, Public Health, Gender Studies, Urban and Regional Planning, and Public Administration are definitely on the upper hand.

Application Time – The application time for these scholarships is June. Applications for the year 2019-20 will be announced in June and will continue till July.

Tata Scholarship

Undergraduate

This scholarship welcomes the Indian students to study at Cornell University for the undergraduates courses.

Scholarship Eligibility – The student should be an Indian Citizen who has secured an admission in Cornell University, and requires a need-based financial aid.

Expenses Covered – The Tata Education and Development Trust covers the tuition fee up to eight semesters. If the program is for long duration than this (such as Architecture), the student will need to bear the additional cost. Living expenses, food, medical, and travel expenses are also covered under the aid.

Areas of Study – The Students who prefer these courses, are welcomed to the College of Architecture and Planning, the College of Engineering, the Applied Economics and Management major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and majors across Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Social Sciences.

Application Time – Applications for this scholarship open around the time of college applications, generally in October/November each year, and awards are given out in December.

Scholarships for Study in Europe and Canada

UBC International Leader of Tomorrow Award

Undergraduate

The Students who hold an outstanding academic record, and have achievements in the field of Sports, Performing Arts, Debating, etc. are encouraged to apply in University of British Columbia.

Scholarship Eligibility – The eligibility is only non-Canadian students and needs to have recommendation from the current school which they are attends. The student should meet all requirements for English Language as well as the program applied for. The student should also demonstrate financial need that would prevent them from pursuing a program of their choice.

Expenses Covered – The scholarship covers tuition fee, as well as living expenses. The scholarship can be renewed for all three years of undergraduate study.

Areas of Study – The scholarship can be availed by any student who has been admitted to UBC in any undergraduate program.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships for International Students

Postgraduate

The Erasmus Mundus Scholarships are funded by the European Union for the students of EU and non-EU, so that they can study in the European Universities.

Scholarship Eligibility – The students who are selected to attend one of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Programs at Masters or Doctoral Level are eligible for this scholarship. Each Erasmus Mundus Joint program has its own eligibility criteria, and students should consult with their representatives before applying.

Expenses Covered – It covers full scholarships including tuition, travelling costs, insurance costs, and living expenses for students. Non-EU students are offered higher scholarships than EU students in most cases.
