A 3-year Ph.D position is available on DNA epigenetic modification in neurons at the IAS-5 / INM-9 Computational Biomedicine Institute of Forschungszentrum Jülich.
In human biology and medicine, the field of epigenetics is booming, yet very few studies have appeared trying to decipher molecular mechanisms associated with DNA epigenetic modification in neurons. In this context, this research project will aim to understand the function of enzymes involved in neuroepigenetics mechanisms using multiscale molecular simulation approaches.
Payment of the Ph.D fellow will be based on salary grade EG 13 (50%) Collective Agreement for the Civil Service (TVöD).
Forschungszentrum Jülich aim to employ more women in this area and therefore particularly welcome applications from women. They also welcome applications from disabled persons.
